When you follow the link and read the story you should be very angry. I'd also say you should be ashamed, but, well, we didn't agree to the damn Act.

are we too young to remember the joe mccarthy hearings? all in the name of america! god forbid we see some third world citizen being interrogated by their country's authorities. why, we'd just have to go in and bomb them, don't you think?
i'd tell everyone "your vote counts" but that didn't seem to work last time.
thanks for sharing it, jon. (even though i'm really bummed out now.)

Jeez! 8 guys for 1 guy with a camera?

Who's one a powertrip? That's right, the Police!

The Patriot Act is the LEAST patriotic thing Congress has EVER enacted. I fear for my country when other countries have greater personal freedom than ours.

I am all for increased security in rational ways: airport screening that works (hah!). Similar screening for all public transportation as feasible. Increased security at Nuclear Power Plants, Oil Refineries, etc. Frequent testing of reservoirs, etc. But hassling someone for taking photos? C'mon. There's a website that I can use to get satalite photos down to about a level where most detail is readily apparent, and it's free! What the hell are these photos going to do? Are my reading choices being watched at the library, too? Oh yeah, that's right, they can check, can't they?

Welcome to the dark age of American Freedom.

Ummm, hate to say I told you so, but I said to watch out for this stuff on Sept. 12th, 2001 to the monkeys. This kind of change in our national demeanor wasn't very hard to foresee given the climate at the time.
