The rest of the week went much better than Wednesday afternoon. Thursday was Halloween, so many in the office dressed up for that. In the afternoon we went to see The Ring. Some people thought it was really scary, I was not one of them. It was an okay movie, but I never would have paid to see it on my own. On a scale of one to ten, I give it a 4, maybe a 5, but I'm not a horror movie fan, so I'll err on the conservative side. Watch it for free if you can, otherwise, skip it.
I went to a party on Friday evening at the house of a woman that used to work with me. I had a very good time. It was a little subdued, but the people were a lot of fun and very friendly. Saturday I had a "date" with someone I'd been talking with online for the past couple of days. I don't think that's going anywhere. She's nice, but there's nothing there. Today I received an email from the British woman I saw last week at the party. She said she'd like to go out, but only as friends. Figures. Oh, well, I'm looking for friends, too, and she seems like a lot of fun.
Now I'm at work doing some writing and research for an article or two for the next issue of Campaign. I have to get as much as I can done this week before my mom and grandma show up. I'm looking forward to their visit.
I found this really cool site on word and phrase definitions. I heartily recommend it.
